New twin cities radio that doesn't suck?

Twin cities radio is about to get more interesting. Tomorrow, Minnesota Public Radio, the people who bring you such gems as "A Prairie Home Companion" and "Marketplace" are launching a new radio station, with some of the staff from dear, departed REV 105, including Thorn and Mary Lucia.

What's the frequency, Kenneth? The frequency is 89.3 on your FM dial.

Here's hoping for great things. Or, at least, radio that doesn't suck.

...and its been musical heaven ever since. Mary Lucia is a goddess! My GF thinks I have a crush on her, so I call Ms. Lucia my "Drivetime Mistress". Bless her heart!

It DOES suck. Bill Kling and his gang of thugs threw a bunch of big bucks at Saint Olaf College, which had WCAL at 89.3, and they greedily took the money from equally greedy MPR/Bill Kling. So what you have is just another music machine. And the demise of a fine old classical music and real culture radio station.
