Minnesota government shutdown

According to Yahoo! News, the Minnesota Legislature and Governor approved a budget for the state.

As Gov. Pawlenty put it:
"I'm pleased to announce agreement has been reached by the legislative leadership to put Minnesota back to work," Pawlenty announced around 2 a.m.

Boy - by Minnesota I sure hope he meant the state government. Near as I can tell, most of Minnesota didn't particularly notice the shutdown, other than annoyance with both parties that they let it happen. Minnesota as a whole seemed to do just fine without parts of the state government for a week - we've been working all along, thank you very much.

That said, I sometimes forget that I'm currently a state employee, but the U wasn't shut down as part of this.

I'm still disgustipated by the whole thing. Minnesota voters - please don't forget about this come election time.
