Long run
I'm doing the Twin Cities Marathon 10-miler in two weeks. So, this was the day for a long run. I was out for an hour and 46 minutes. I went out from home, down Saint Clair to the high bridge, all the way up the high bridge, back down the high bridge, up Summit Hill, down Summit to Cleveland, and back home. According to the
Google Maps Pedometer, I did 9.1 miles. The google maps pedometer won't tell you this, but there were some hills there as well.
Here's the route in case you want to try it. :-)
I was a little surprised that the high bridge was so close - it was maybe 35 minutes from my house to the top of the bridge.
The high bridge isn't as difficult as it looks. It's long, but the steepness is managable.
Summit Hill
is as difficult as it looks. It's really f-in' steep.
Two weeks to go; I think I'm in pretty good shape for the race. At the moment, my biggest worry is figuring out how to get to the start.
